What should be the ambition of an ideal Muslim in life?

I would like to take inputs from other Muslims in our community. This will help me to define my own ambition and goal in my life.

As far as Deen is concerned the end result one would seek is to enter Jannat.
Should we just keep on doing any good work based on "Amr bil Maroof & Nahi Anil Munkar" or Should we have a specific goal/project to execute one by one?

Br.Irfan..MashaALLAH you have started a nice discussion...which most of the Muslim Shabaab(youth) should think about this seriously.

According to me , everyone should make Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as the ideal personality for his life.This will make us easy to define our goal being a Muslim.

If you do so , then Quran says :The best example for you is,in the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

If we study the life history of Prophet ,
He was a wonderful human being,
He encouraged business , education , marriage , cleanliness , social work , etc...
He encouraged the practice of Islam.
He was an excellent husband.
He was an excellent war leader.
He was an excellent Father of His children.
Over all He had all the good qualities which are uncountable and described.
So making him an ideal could lead us to the success for sure.

But the main problem of our youth is "we seek success for this world ,rather than seeking success for both the worlds..here and here after"

Deen and Duniya is not diferent.We have to live our life within the Shariah laws...this is deen.
Business , family ,friends ,relatives , extra activities ...can be a part of Deen,if we donot cross the boundaries of Islam.For example : The person who work hard and fullfill his families needs..will be rewarded by ALLAH (SWT)
A person who gets married to fullfill his desires .... will be rewarded by ALLAH (SWT).

So conclution is this...To define a goal...define your ideal personality...
